How Next Tutor works (and what it can see)

Next Tutor lives in the lesson player and on each course page. It knows which course you are taking and, in the player, which lesson you have open, so answers land in context instead of generically. Conversations save to the course page, and you can pick any of them back up later.

What it can see

• The course outline and, in the player, the written content of the lesson you have open.
• The messages in the conversation you are having, so follow-ups make sense.
• It cannot see the videos, your screen, your files, your notes, or anything outside the course.

How to get the most from it

Ask it to re-explain the current step in different words, to check your understanding, or to give one more example. Use it to speed up the parts you already understand, not to skip the understanding.

Limits

• Around a hundred messages a day, which resets the next day. Almost nobody reaches it.
• It will explain the concept behind a quiz question and will not give you the answer.
• Like any AI, it can get things wrong. The lesson stays the source of truth.
• It needs an active subscription, the same as the courses do.

If an answer stops mid-sentence, the connection dropped rather than the tutor finishing. Ask again and it starts over.
